How did I get in there?
Because I had made my reservation, it was really easy my Versailles Palace Tour with a
special access. Yes, Versailles Palace has a VIP entrance. The first thing you must do after entering the palace through the main door is turn left.
Once you've done that, you'll see that there is a door with two steps leading up to it, along with a pillar and a server on either side of you. A black sign that is barely visible on the ground must also be found.
"Entrée Privée" on the sign indicates that it is only for private tours. If not, you would have to use the main door, where a huge line of people is already waiting. The employees were really strict about it because of this being for private tours only. If a VIP member was allowed in there without a ticket, then it could cause chaos.
To access the upper terraces of Versailles Palace, you can enter through the doors and stairway only if you have a ticket. I had the good fortune to receive an audio guide and a map for my VIP tour. I was able to move about the chateau with the use of these gadgets without feeling as though I had to wait interminably.
The lack of lines was much appreciated, and I felt that the Seine River Tour was very valuable compared to the big group tours. You get to hear the guide talk to you and explain everything that you need to know about the history of Versailles.
