Websites can track your location when you visit them and use that information to deliver different content based on your physical location. This can be useful but it can also cause privacy concerns for many people. In this article we will take a look at how websites determine your location and how you can hide it from them.

There are many ways that your location can be tracked online, some more accurate than others. One of the most common methods is through HTML geolocation which uses your IP address to track where you are Shop Referal. This can be very accurate or just give a rough estimation depending on your network connection. Other methods can include using your preferred language, the time zone on your computer or even estimating your location based on your browsing history. All of these techniques are known as browser fingerprinting and they can be used to build a very detailed picture of your location.

To prevent this from happening it is recommended that you use a web proxy to browse the internet. A proxy acts as a middle man and connects to the website on your behalf. It can also provide you with other privacy features such as encrypting your data and blocking certain types of ads. Some examples of good proxy services are Puffin, Tenta and Brave. If you want to go a step further in protecting your location then you can use a virtual private network (VPN) service which can provide additional layers of privacy at the expense of speed.
