The Delta Cancellation Policy is applicable to all fare classes, including Basic Economy, and is valid for tickets bought through Delta.com, the Fly Delta app, Delta ticket offices, airport ticket counters, and over the phone with the Reservation Sales department.
You must call in your cancellation within 24 hours if you bought your ticket with SkyMiles.
If you bought your Delta tickets from an OTA, you could have to pay a $50 external ticket handling fee to cancel them unless you can do it through Delta.com. Furthermore, not all OTAs provide free cancellation within 24 hours. Orbitz and Expedia are two OTAs that let you alter or cancel bookings on delta.com and provide 24-hour flight cancellation with full reimbursements.
